This binder is made with very sturdy vegetable tanned leather of moss green. It's waxed leather, so the surface is very smooth and has particular texture. I personally love this color so much!, it's like a little withered green, it's obviously not very fresh green. I call it khaki moss green. it's like army green. The surface is coated wax, so if you rub it hard, it will get paticular shine, but basically this leather looks very mat. and this wax coating is not very heavy like powdery, so the looking of the surface is relatively settled (I mean, the surface doesn't get white traces of scratches all over like powdery wax coating leather, hope you understand what I mean). I think one of the lovely traits of this leather is it's uneveness texture and a bit harsh looking, so I didn't avoid using that part (of stain like unevenness and small scratches here and there - but these are just the surface's thing and so the quality of the leather is still great) on purpose. Because I personally think this leather looks much nicer when it is not very neat and clean. So this binder is for a person who understand and love such taste.
The inside leather is stone gray with slight uneven whitish paint. It matches the color and the texture's of the cover very well. Mat black parts are oiled and nice leather also. Very smooth.
The rivets are real copper.
This binder lays flat - it becomes about flat when you opened it without putting hands on it. The stitch is bees waxed.
I made a matching leather tassel with leather petals as a charm.
4 pockets. The insides are completely lined with light beige liner fabric. This linning doesn't mean only for looking, but for reinforcing the entrance and the inside of the pockets not to be stretched or get floppy.
This binder is bendable (it's not like hard board binder) but still strong as it has a sturdy (but soft) pad inside. This pad never break like cardboard or plastic.
I put it even in the band, so it doesn't get worn out easily.
